'Echoes of time' was written on the occasion of a ruby wedding. The work contains musical themes that have had meaning for the commissioner over time. The title refers in a general way to how time and what you experience shapes you and also determines a direction in your life. In addition, the title also has a musical meaning; in various places in the work, the subject of 'echo' has been transformed into a musical gesture. In the middle section, the song 'I will be there' can be heard, originally written by SELA.
